About Charlestown

A small working port/harbour just outside St Austell and home to the Shipwreck & Heritage Centre and a small fleet of square riggers. Relatively unspoiled area & a good day out if you're staying in this area.

The picturesque harbour has often been used as a filming location, most recently as Truro harbour in Poldark.
