About Bude

Seaside town and holiday resort on the north Cornwall coast. Very popular with families ever since Victorian times when the railway was specially extended to bring the visitors. It's deservedly popular due to the great beaches and facilities it has to offer.

Bude is also a haven for surfers - and If you're planning a trip in late August you might catch the famous Bude Jazz Festival.

Bude is also unusual in having a canal which leads to a safe harbour and used to lead on eventually to the Tamar Lakes. Unfortunately it can only be acccessed from the sea with favourable tidal conditions!
