Reviews of - The Carthouse, St Keverne

"October stay
The Carthouse is finished to a high standard. It is warm and comfortable, set in lovely grounds. We only really used it to sleep as we were out every day as we had glorious October weather. Unless you are very keen walkers, you will definitely need a car (Coverack is nearly two miles away) good pub and cafes there, great Sunday lunch at the pub. " - 4 star rating

"Perfect getaway
The perks of growing older are occasionally hard to find, but being able to leave the kids (sorry, young adults) at home and travel to a gorgeous area of the country like this is certainly a result. Stayed here twice (Aug 2016 and 2017, just rebooked for a late winter break, so yes - we love this cottage. Actually looking forward to using the wood burner this time too.
Very hard to fault, great food and beer available in the village. Just what was reviewer nr 1 on!!! : )" - 5 star rating

"Ideal base
Ideal for exploring and walking the Lizard. Coverack is a 20 minute walk across the fields and the coast parh is quiet and interesting. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable - previous reviewer seems to be reviewing a different place or just took an instant dislike (nothing to dislike). It's warm and really off the beaten track, hosts are on site and very helpful, there was a 3 hour power cut in the area while we were there and we got constant updates from Rachel." - 5 star rating

"Never again
Sofa uncomfortable pillows flat as pancakes. Curtains let the sun in to thin. Eating outside ok but next to bins got told it was luxury I would rather stay at home area lovely" - 1 star rating
