"Great, cosy cottage in a perfect location
Recently stayed here for a long weekend with family. On arrival, we ended up driving passed it on the one way system as we weren't sure where to stop the car to unload - after calling the owner, she advised that we were able to stop for a short time just up the road; she was extremely friendly & didn't mind us calling out of the blue on a Friday afternoon, which greatly helped us especially since it was pouring down at the time. The location is great - short walk down to the harbour with a Spar shop part way down the hill too. We found everything really easy to get to and within walking distance. We parked our cars in the harbour car park which was also within walking distance and had better security than the car park at the top of the hill before entering the town area. The cottage is beautifully decorated - each bedroom along with the bathroom & en-suite are all very modern and extremely clean. The facilities in terms of the kitchen/utility were also great - plenty of storage space including 2 fridges and a good amount of worktop area to prepare food/drinks. The kitchen was also very well equipped with various appliances - the only thing lacking, in our opinion, was wine glasses/flutes. The bedrooms are a decent size with plenty of room to leave suitcases on the floor if you're only staying a few nights and not wanting to fully unpack. The only improvements we would have liked in the bedrooms was better curtains/blinds - perhaps with the option of blackouts (especially in the front bedroom) and also a less squeaky bed as the metal frame creaked every time each of you move which wasn't ideal for light sleepers. Other than this, we couldn't have faulted the place. Would happily recommend it to anyone thinking of booking here and would certainly book again if we were back in the area." - 5 star rating
