"Wet weekend
Yes the weather was poor, but what made easier was the barn cottage.. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs and the cottage was just lovely to come back to after a day's walking It's was comfortable, warm and clean and had everything and more needed to make it a joy to come back to There were dog blankets and towels to sort the dogs out, home made apple pie to sort the adults out (made by the owner) all the facilities to make a snug stay Good pub grub and live music..the mill house, 5mins away Good walk to go on and will take about hour and half ish is from the Rocky walk (park in layby) to Tintagel We can't recommend this cottage & the owners enough and will be coming back for sure " - 4 star rating

"Mould and damp bedroom
Dreadful stay. The room was damp and we had to put up with a humidifier in the room to take away the damp moisture. The bedding felt and smelt damp. Would not recommend until the problems are sorted as they should not be renting it out as it is." - 1 star rating

"Fabulous cottage
We have just returned from a lovely 5 night break at Barn Cottage. From the moment we walked in, after a 4 hour journey, we felt at home. It is beautifully clean & tidy, was cosy & warm, & there were some lovely treats provided by the owners to welcome us. The view from the lounge window upstairs is fantastic, & the location is very peaceful. We have 2 small dogs & the front courtyard was enclosed enough to keep them safe. Everything you need is provided by the owners, and the cottage is a real credit to them. It's the type of place you wish you owned yourself!! Highly recommended to anyone wanting a lovely base for a stay in beautiful Cornwall." - 5 star rating

"Outstanding!!!!!
Don't know where to begin, this cottage has got to be the most beautiful, comfortable and well equipped we have ever stayed. Literally you could just take your personal items and everything else is there right down to a torch on the coat hanger and on your beside table, everything was of the highest quality, kitchen equipment, beding, towels etc, felt like I was staying in a 5 star hotel! The welcome pack was amazing, home made cream tea, apple cake, locally made chocolate, fugde, local tea, coffee, milk. It wasn't just the humans that had the 5 star treatment, dog treats, dog blanks, doggie bags, dog towels, water bowl and mat!!! These owner's even thought of a container for your dirty boots by the door!! The cottage was as warm as you wanted it to be, completely controllable, hot water 24/7, the interior is stunning, there are exposed parts of the Cornish slate that are so beautiful, the only thing I would like to mention is a better quality mattress is needed and to be honest that's the only negative thing I can think of!!!" - 5 star rating
