We stayed here early July with our young son. The cottage is beautiful and immaculate. Beds are incredibly comfortable and bathrooms to die for. Great central location to the harbour. Will most certainly be heading back. " - 5 star rating

I stayed here with my girlfriend and our pet a couple of months ago and I was just coming back on here to see if we could book again, when I saw a review below which I couldn't believe and I just have to set the story straight! "Death trap" is absolutely hilarious, the girlfriend nearly fell off her chair having read it, we're both gobsmacked. This is the most quaint, beautifully positioned cottage in the whole of mevagissey im sure :) a lovely fireplace (surrounded by stone might I add... so not a death trap...). The owners were lovely and nothing but accommodating, the cottage was clean and well furnished and we really cannot wait to go back. The cottage, the locals, the bars and restaurants, the harbour, one of the best UK holidays we've had in a while :) My advice on the 1 star reviews is take a look at every other review they've written. Out of interest I took a gander through their other reviews and amazed to see They've 1 starred everyone. People playing the system looking for something for free and there's nothing that boils my blood more than to see people do that at perfectly honest people's expense. I look forward to visiting again, we missed visiting salamander last time so we're due another visit ;) " - 5 star rating

"Possible Death Trap
As there is no rear door - the only escape route is front door. The front door's lock has jammed many times and could not be opened. If you one is disabled this is a death trap! I doubt if any insurance company would insure this place for visiting guests. Has it been vetted by the fire department? While on the surface the cottage looks clean - it is actually a dirty place. We have photographic evidence to show the same. The owner seems to be unreasonable. Go at your own risk" - 1 star rating
