About Perranzabuloe Folk Museum

See our new displays and take a trip down memory lane to see how the shops in Perranporth have changed through the years and discover the history of Perranporth's beautiful beach. Or try our new inter-active Kernocopia Box with indoor SURFING activities and STORIES.
With a nationally recognised award, the MUSEUM IN PERRANPORTH shows how the area has developed - from its earliest beginnings in the Bronze Age; the arrival of St Piran; the growth of fishing, farming and mining; the development and closure of the railway; to the tourist resort it has become today.
PERRANZABULOE, meaning 'Perran in the sands', is one of the largest parishes in Cornwall and Perranporth is the biggest centre of population. Its name comes from St Piran, one of the foremost saints in Cornwall.
PERRANZABULOE MUSEUM is staffed by helpful volunteers who will be happy to answer questions.
We have a CHILDREN'S TROLLEY with jigsaws, word searches and quizzes always available.
DISABLED ACCESS is via a stairlift with a wheelchair available in the gallery.
OPEN from Easter to end of October
Monday to Friday 10.30-16.30; Saturday 11.00-13.00
ADMISSION is free, donations are welcome.
