About Camelford

A town in the area of north Cornwall famous for dramatic writings (Hardy, Tennyson), Arthurian legend (Camelford = Camelot?) and a spectacular coastline. Between the coast and Bodmin Moor this lovely old town has a lot to offer the tourist.

It lies on the A39 north west of Bodmin Moor on the banks of the river Camel; there is an annual Carnival each October, and is only some 6 miles inland og the wonderful north Carnwall Caost, and quite close to Tintagel, so a good base for an exploring holiday!
