About Whitsand Bay Beach

Whitsand Bay consists of a few miles of sandy beaches (Tregonhawke, Freathy, Sharrow & Tregantle - also called Long Sands) that offers good surfing opportunities on the south coast. There's a bit of a climb down, but great when you get there. It's all dog friendly and lifeguards operate here throughout the summer. Various places to park with facilities at Freathy and Tregonhawk. The beach around Tregantle can be closed when firing operations are taking place at Tregantle Fort and beware of walking along the beach at high tide - you could get cut off.
