About Boconnoc

The House and historic grounds are available to hire for weddings, corporate days, private parties and events. As Boconnoc is a family run business, we offer total flexibility and versatility, nothing is too much trouble and we want everyone to experience the hidden beauty of the place. This unique setting is a wonderful retreat from the busy outside world and if you need a break from the strains of every day life, Boconnoc is the ideal place to escape to.
The main house and our self-catering cottages in the 18th century Stable Yard are surrounded by 200 acres of parkland and ancient woodland, and are alive with birdsong. There is accommodation for up to 26 guests. There are beautiful walks through the grounds, deer park and gardens, bursting with reds, pinks and yellows in the Spring and early Summer when the rhododendrons, azaleas and camelias are in flower. Or you can sit by the lake with a bottle of wine in the evening light, watching the fish rise and the ducks come in to nest. Bring bikes as there are some good cycle routes along the private roads on the estate.
Boconnoc is located 15 minutes from Bodmin and 40 minutes from Newquay airport, within easy reach of both the north and south coasts. Group visits to the house, church and garden can be arranged at any time of the year.
There are plenty of things to keep you and the family entertained in the surrounding area from secret beaches, bustling fishing villages, delicious pubs and restaurants, wildlife centres, canoeing trips, surfing lessons and plenty more.
